New to our library is this wonderful book which was donated to us, at the same time as the arrival of a model of the Goetheanum to our library.
Title: The Goetheanum : Rudolf Steiner’s architectural impulse.
Authors: Hagen Biesantz, Arne Klingborg ; with contributions by Ake Fant, Rex Raab, Nikolaus Ruff ; translated by Jean Schmid.
This book is a wonderfully illustrated history of Steiner’s endeavours in building The Goetheanum’s. It is a slim, concise monograph on both the wood and the concrete Goetheanum buildings, and it explains Steiner’s style in architecture. It has a catalogue of other architects and their architectural works at the end.
You can view it alongside the model of the Goetheanum in our library, and take the book out.
