TALK: Immortality starts when you die. Want to know why…? 28 April

Anthony’s talk in January, which was greatly appreciated by all those who attended, was entitled ‘Man is a 3-Fold Being: Body, Soul and Spirit. Want to know why…?‘ This was the first of a series of twelve foundational insights to Anthroposophy he intends to give over a period of 24-months.

His next talk will be given on the last Friday of April, it is called “Immortality starts when you die. Want to know why…?” He has written this in the same style as his first presentation. It is therefore expected that both members and non-members will come away with a fresh understanding to this difficult subject.

Anthony’s method of writing is to write not only from the head but also from the heart and follows the suggestion made by Rudolf Steiner that free rendering wherever it is possible ensures the subject matter is not only understood but taken as a conscious soul experience.

Immortality starts when you die. Want to know why?

Rudolf Steiner investigated and knew as a fact in Anthroposophy that death is not an end to life but a transformation of it. He said that the soul continues to live after death, and the spiritual world is just as real as the physical world.

Steiner taught that the soul goes through a journey after death, moving through a series of stages that eventually lead to rebirth in a new physical body. He referred to this process as the “life between lives” and that it was an essential part of the soul’s journey towards spiritual development. Steiner investigated and knew that the soul’s experiences in the physical world, along with its efforts to develop its spiritual capacities, determine its destiny after death. The soul carries with it the fruits of its experiences and efforts, and these continue to unfold in the spiritual world.

In this upcoming talk, Anthony will give an overview of Steiner’s knowledge of immortality in Anthroposophy, and that it begins after death, with the soul’s journey through the spiritual world and eventual rebirth into a new physical body.
