Considering relationships in the modern world

Presented by Rev. Michaël Merle

  • Have you ever wondered as to the significance of certain relationships in your life?
  • What difference have certain people had in the unfolding of your destiny?
  • What can we learn about how we relate to others and to ourselves?

This five day personal-development workshop will take a close look at the relationships to self, others and our destiny at hand of the twelfth century story of Parzival, an Arthurian knight. The tale will be placed in a context of the time in which it was written, and then as the story unfolds, questions and reflections of the elements of modern relationships unfold. We will experience how, through this story, we become fully revealed to ourselves. We will explored this unfolding through artistic activities and conversations.

The workshop will cover the whole story as recorded by Wolfram von Eschenbach, and enter into a reading of it appropriate to our times and to adult relationships in the twenty-first century in South Africa.
